In 2001, Ashcon International Inc. began as a distributor of industrial goods in Canada. In 2010,  Unikmed became a division of Ashcon International Inc. Ashcon International has a Health Canada Class 3 registered license under MDEL #4008.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Ashcon took steps to bring manufacturing of critical personal protective equipment (PPE) in-house. Under our own UNIKMED brand, we produce Face Masks, Bouffant Caps, Beard Covers, Shoe Covers and TPE Gloves for all industries here in Mississauga, Ontario.

UNIKMED products meet and exceed applicable performance standards (ASTM, ANSI/AAMI) to ensure user protection, but we are also driven to offer nothing but the highest quality. Operations in our manufacturing facility are monitored and controlled under the ISO 9001 quality management system, allowing us to work efficiently and focus on continuous improvement. Our products are made to optimize fit, appearance and comfort, while our service team prioritizes customer communications and post-sale support.
